There’s more than corn in Indiana.
That’s the famous tagline for the small amusement park I visited this weekend. The trip brought back lots of memories from my childhood.
My family went there it seems like multiple times each summer as I was growing up. The park didn’t have the big rides of other places, but it had a special kind of “Indiana magic.”
It’s one of those places where I go and I feel happier being there. It’s a combination of several things, including the memories and the atmosphere.
Places like that typically help alleviate some of my depression feelings temporarily, and the corn tagline also stuck with me.
That tagline makes me start asking myself how I would fill in the blank for me: there’s more than ____________ in Chris.
This kind of thought exercise helps me to focus my mind on things other than problems. It also helps me brainstorm my good qualities, which is a great step forward in loving myself.
